I joined the Bryant rootsweb to locate the children of Catherine & Thomas Franklin Bryant, I carry the maiden name of Bryant, my father also went to his death as a Bryant, my grandfather took the name sometime before his marriage to my grandmother, she was a Clawson. Now William was 9 years old when taken by Thomas F Bryant (1880 census) to raise. Catherine Harty Bryant is believed to be his mother also the mother of 4 other children. I listed names and births also place, but the reply was do a DNA. I think this DNA is a bit out of line, and stops the search for Bryant's, It seems to me that the blood line is more to you then the love given to the children by the Bryant's that could not have children. Your Bryant line might not have gone on if not for the adopted children, seems there was a problem of fathering their own. I am a Bryant, so was my father, and if my grandfather did not love his foster, step, or adopted father he would not have taken the name. I am not aiming this at Bryant's that might not be a "so called true blood" Eleanor L Bryant Prieskorn -----Original Message----- From: bryant-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:bryant-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of John Bryant Sent: Monday, April 02, 2007 9:12 AM To: bryant@rootsweb.com Subject: [BRYANT] How to integrate paper trials and DNA research Example!!!!! http://www.renshawdna.com/Charts.htm John Bryant R1b1c* http://www.familytreedna.com/public/r1b/ Irish Type III http://au.geocities.com/t120r61/Irish_Type_III.htm #57501 at OBrien project http://www.familytreedna.com/public/obrien/ Josiah Bryant Cooperative Research Group http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ourbryants/index.htm
