Keith, Be aware that people are getting tested for all the reasons you listed in your post. You response shows why I do not have the right skill set to run a DNA surname project. Also be aware the results may not be what you expect. A person I ask to test to see if their Bryant's was part of our line, just came back in the Y-DNA haplogroup N. Makes me think maybe her brother had his office mate do the test. Haplogroup N is from northern Russia. Has anyone got Bryant from there?
