Ellie, This is just such a hard name to research. There were a ton of Bryant's back then in that area at that time. I find scant little about my Austin, however I find him listed, later with a Richard, in NC. The dates do not match with the births, but I found on the military land grants, that Austin inherited land as "Heir at Law" for son Richard. The plot thickens.
