John -- I have been watching this debate for some time now. I would like to check my understanding of the basic descendant order. Father to son to grandson(s) direct -- no break thru a female. Am I correct? I am 73, descendant of a totally different Bryant group -- Virginia to Tennessee to Kentucky to Missouri to Kansas to everywhere. I am female, my grandfather (true) was a Civil War veteran, my father 54 when I was born. I have two 1/2 brothers still living, in their late 80s and there were two who died in their 90's. I have a living grandson. Is he a candidate to be checked? There would be two females in the line -- I am one and my daughter would be the second. Too distant and too much dilution?
