    3. If price is a issue order a 12 marker test from the fee company and do the free test also. You then check your markers with the free test. You will get a exact match with your sample in the free data base showing your matches there. You ID your sample by the pedigree on the free sample. The fee company will notify you of your matches. With this information you can make the decision if you have a chance of getting useful information from more testing. The 12 marker test will exude you from matches with other samples. Some people like me Haplogroup R1b1 get 400 matches. The person that tested N got 0 matches. Bryant surname have 13 sample on the free database and 55 samples on one fee company's database. Brown surname has 400 samples on the one fee company's database and 82 samples on the free database. One Bryant on this list sent me his Y-search ID for his Y12 test we had GD (Genetic distant) of 9, no chance of be related. Guide for Y12 test below. There were a ton of Bryant's back then in that area at that time. I find scant little about my Austin, however I find him listed, later with a Richard, in NC. The dates do not match with the births, but I found on the military land grants, that Austin inherited land as "Heir at Law" for son Richard. The plot thickens.
