I agree with this suggestion. I'm not sure I would trust any DNA project that is free but that is just my own opinion. The FamilyTreeDNA projects are very informative and reliable. They usually will give a group price for each of the different markers if enough people participate. The PRINCE list to which I belong has had good success with this avenue.
