    3. Rhoda, Just what did doing your mtdna do for you? I have been thinking of sending a kit to a very aged aunt. This would follow back with Boydstun, Smith,, Hawkins, Hickman lines. Nothing to to with Bryants---. But I have been wondering just what exactly the mtdna does for you. If this mtdna might be something that I would want later for future research or what? I contacted the Hawkins group leader and he said that it would not do much for me concerning Hawkins. But I still wonder, just what it would show me. ???? In other words what would I get for my paternal aunts dna? What would I get if I had my brothers done etc.??? I have OBryant/Bryant lines though my great grandmother, fathers side so am at a dead end there I think. I cannot get beyond my ggggrandfather Caleb OBriatn from S.Carolina and then Ga. Have not made a positive connection yet to a male of that line to encourage them for Ydna Thanks Joyce >From: "John Bryant" <jofbryant@hotmail.com> >Reply-To: bryant@rootsweb.com >To: bryant@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: [BRYANT] DNA Report- progress is slow for Bryant's >Date: Sun, 08 Jul 2007 20:57:27 -0500 > >Hope 4th Bryant male cousin shows up on a database. > >That why a big data base of Bryant tested is important. > >Johnb. > > >I'm reading the Y DNA emails with great envy.
