    3. Does either of you have Bryant's from NH; to Indiana? My Grandfather was taken in by Thomas Franklin (Frank) Bryant and his wife Catherine. He was born in 1868 Indiana, William Henry Brown; took the name Bryant after the 1880 census. We are now all Bryant's now. There is a Nathanial in SC at same time as Terrell K. but I need "concrete" info. to connect them as brothers. These 3 brothers were supposed to have been in VA and then moved - Terrell to SC, possibly Nathanial to SC but don't know where John William went. Also, can't tie down from where in VA they came or beyond that.

    1. [BRYANT] William Eugene Bryant - Obit
    2. Rosie
    3. William Eugene Bryant HAMPTON - William Eugene Bryant, 78, of 273 West Gilbert St., Hampton, Va., left this life on Monday, 30 Oct. 2006, at the Sentara CarePlex in Hampton, Va., after a short illness. Mr. Bryant was born on 27 Sept. 1928, in Rossmore, W.Va., and was raised in the Logan and Beckley, W.Va. areas until his enlistment into the United States Air Force in 1951. After a stellar 28 year career as an Accounting and Finance Specialist in the Air Force, where he traveled to France; Newfoundland, Canada; Germany; Taiwan; Michigan; California; Florida; and Texas, and attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant, he retired from active duty in San Antonio, Texas, in 1979. Mr. Bryant remained in San Antonio and began a second career as a Civil Servant working for the United States Army, retiring for a second time in 1992. In 2005, Mr. Bryant moved to Hampton, Va., to be closer to family. Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his mother, Nora Elizabeth Bryant Scites, of Oak Hill, W.Va., and her husband, Lawton Scites, of Logan; and the grandparents who raised him, William Estell Bryant and Eliza Ellen Brammer Bryant, of Beckley, W.Va. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Betty Lou Farmer Bryant, of Hampton, Va.; two sons, Samuel Eugene Bryant, and his wife, Vicki, also of Hampton; and William Lawton Bryant, and his wife, Beth, of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kelly M. Wilson, and her husband, Danny, of Hampton; Kevin M. Bryant, and his wife, Jennifer, of Chesapeake, Va., Christopher W Bryant, of Chicago, Ill.; and Lauren A. Bryant of San Antonio, Texas; and three great-grandchildren, Breanna M Wilson, Lauren N Wilson, and Dylan M Wilson, of Hampton. Mr. Bryant was very proud of his both of his sons. His eldest son, Sam, followed his father's path of military service and enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he made a career and he retired as a Master Sergeant after 25 years. Bill, the youngest, was an athlete, and as an avid sportsman himself (Mr. Bryant pitched fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball and bowled throughout his military career), he liked watching sports of all kinds - professional, college and high-school and was a fan of the Cowboys, the Fighting Irish, the Texas Longhorns, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Atlanta Braves). But nothing made him happier than watching his son, Bill, play sports and eventually become a coach. He was the proudest when Bill was named as the head football coach for East Aurora High School in Chicago, Ill. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home of Hampton. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6 to 8 Thursday evening, Nov. 2, 2006. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, in the Chapel at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, immediately followed by committal services at Hampton Memorial Gardens, Butler Farm Road, in Hampton. The entire family would like to thank the EMTs and other First Responders from the Fox Hill Fire Station, Hampton Fire Department, for their prompt response, professionalism, service, and especially for their concern in following-up with the family; as well as the medical staff at Sentara CarePlex, both in the Emergency Department and in the Intensive Care Unit for their dedication and professionalism treating the Patriarch of the family. Finally, the care, concern, and support shown by the members of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church greatly assisted the family in coping with their loss. Bless You All. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation to St Jude's Children's Hospital be made in the name of William E Bryant. Friends are encouraged to visit www.mem.com to share words of comfort with the family. Published in the Daily Press on 11/1/2006. All, This was my Father. He was raised by his maternal grandparents as stated above, but his father was Gray A Scarborough of Shady Spring. His parents were Calvin and Elsa Scarborough, of Fayette County, WV.
