    1. [BRYANT-L] LUCRETIA BRYANT STRICKLAND-VA/NC
    2. C. L. RANUCCI
    3. While leafing through some information on another family branch (the Stricklands), I read an interesting tidbit about my Bryant connection. In the article, the granddaughter of Julia Swindall Strickland (daughter-in-law of Lucretia Bryant Strickland and Richard Strickland Sr.) recalls Julia relating Lucretia's heritage and her connection to George Washington. Of course, no one bothered to record this for posterity! I believe Lucretia Bryant was born in Virginia but she married Richard Strickland in Nash County, NC. Does anyone know of a VA/NC Bryant family that might have some connection to the Washington family? I appreciate your assistance. Cindy Ranucci

    2. Kay Martin
    3. Hi Everyone! If any of you would like a lookup in the book, "American Place Names of Long Ago by Gilbert S. Bahn, I'll be glad to check it for you. What this is are the names of towns (no people) in 1890. It was taken from that census and shows the Town, County, and Population where known. A GREAT book if you know that Great Grandpa lived in such and such town and state, but have no idea what county that was in. Kay

    3. Hello: I really do not wish to be ugly or whatever: ...... but I really think we should keep the Bryant List to ONLY Genealogy............ Genealogy is why we joined...... and because of the Bryant Page, and so forth... it should only be genealogy...... I am getting spam junk all the time, because of other inquires I have made..... and am considering gettting a new provider just to eliminate some of the e-mail I recieve..... Are you aware that we get the original e-mail of the person sending to the list and then we get a duplicate of the same e-mail in a group ......... I hope this situation is thought about..... 3. I know that I promised everyone that the last e-mail I sent out would be the last e-mail that I sent to the list about the newsletter but I knew of no other way to convey this message other than sending it to the list. For those of you that have tried to go to the page and have had trouble connecting or have had trouble sending in the request please try again. I just found out that Geocities and Yahoo have been merging their companies together and have had several of their servers off line during the merger. Supposedly everything is suppose to be back up and running right. If for any reason you still have trouble with the sign up form just send me and e-mail with the bryant subscribe in the subject and I will get you added. I am sorry for any inconvince that you have had due to this. Debbie [email protected]

    2. Awiusdi Darnell
    3. I want everyone to be aware of a major problem. As most of you know I have an online ministry and right now I am being attacked and I want you be aware of it. If you run across anything online in any Christian board, chat, forum or mailing list that is posted from me ( SUPPOSEDLY ) I want you to know that if it is hateful or contrary to my Christian beliefs I want you to all know it is not from me. I know that the genealogy lists I maintain are not the place to post this but alot of people know me and I want to cover all bases. This is not in anyway to condemn or influence anyone in any choice they make in their lives, But I have to rebuild my reputation. If it is anyone on any of these lists or the people I have sent this to BCC who is doing this, I want it stopped now. If you cant handle your life, dont try to ruin mine. I ask you that if you visit a site that has something derogatory to my name or ministry, please post a rebuttal. Forgive me for posting this but I have to do this. 2. LadyD
    3. Hello fellow Bryant Researchers, I am happy to announce that the new Bryant Family Newsletter is on-line. This will be that last e-mail posted to this list about the newsletter. For those of you who are interested in newsletter please go to the following URL: http://www.geocities.com:80/BourbonStreet/Canal/7092/index.html Once you are there please follow the link about joining the newsletter. There is a form for you to fill out and once submitted it will automatically send an e-mail to me letting me know that you wish to sign up. ( when you complete the form and hit send it will take you to a page with what I call a bunch of junk. This has to do with Geocities, I am working on trying to find away around this page but at this time just use the back button on your browser to return to the form page). After I have started receiving e-mail I will then send out 2 e-mails a month about the newsletter one to remind everyone that the deadline for submitting info (and the addresses to send the info to) is getting close and then one to let you know that the newsletter has been updated. Any information that you would like to see submitted to the newsletter need to be sent by the 25th of the month. I would like to have the newsletter ready to be updated by the first of each month. I know that the 25th of this month is coming soon so I will extent the dead line for the July newsletter to the 5th of July and will try to have the updated page done by the 7th or 8th of July. If you have information that you would like to send here are the following address: Census Information: Pamela [email protected] Family Stories and New Bryant Websites Donna [email protected] Recipes and New Findings: Me (Debbie) [email protected] Thank you for your patience in reading this long e-mail once again but couldn't figure away to shorten it and getting everything that I thought needed to be said.
