George A. and Jane RAY lived in Meriwether County, GA (probably near Rocky Mount) in 1850. Their children, at home, then, were Zachariah BRYANT, Stephen F. BRYANT, and Eliza A. BRYANT They resided very near to my Great Grandmother, Nancy C. LANIER BRYANT, a widow, and her two children, Martha A.L. BRYANT and William James BRYANT. Sometime between 1850 and 1852, Great Grandmother Nancy remarried to a Mr. RAY and later had a son, George Austin "Babe" RAY and a daughter, Mary RAY. I believe the "Mr. RAY" was the George A. RAY noted in the first paragraph. Can someone help me fill in the blanks and solve this puzzle? I'm always willing to share any and all of the information I have. Thanks . . . . Bob Bryant

I am searching for the father of James M. Bryant b:May 15, 1824 in Pulaski, County KY. he married Jane Gaston b: Nov. 28, 1817 Pulaski County KY. on Feb. 11, 1845.
One last post hoping to connect my BRYANT ancestress. I am searching for NANCY JANE BRYANT from SC who married CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS COLEMAN. FTM CD#403(Selected Marriage Records 1340-1980) has a listing for a JANE BRYANT (b.1837 SC) married in 1851 to CHRISTOPHER C.COLEMAN (b.1819 SC) This would make her only 14 at the time of the marriage (not impossible but a little young even for THAT era) In searching the IGI records on the LDS site I come up with a NANCY JANE BRYANT b.1832 in Spartanburg Co, SC. This birthdate seems much more reasonable. Father is listed as ELISHA (ELI) BRYANT (BRIANT). Out of the 6 IGI records found, 5 list the mother as SARAH (SALLY) BROWN and one shows the mother as MARY ELIZABETH MOORE. Is anyone on this list researching the family of ELISHA (ELI) BRYANT or BRIANT who could help me confirm or disprove a connection? All help or suggestions in bringing down this brick wall will be greatly appreciated. PennyJo

His father, according to family oral history, brought his family down the Ohio River, entered the Kanawha River, and settled in Poca. They are supposedly from Pennsylvania. Generation No. 1 1. She was born in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, and died Unknown. Notes for JOHN RESSE SNYDER: John Snyder was partially blind at least in latter life.. Children of JOHN SNYDER and VICTORIA BRYANT are: 2. i. ROBERT PENNINGTON3 SNYDER, brn. West Virginia. 3. ii. CHARLES REESE SNYDER, d. Unknown. 4. iii. JESSE JAMES SNYDER. 5. iv. SALLY SNYDER. 6. v.
