CHECK YOUR ACCESS NUMBER, IF YOUR DIALING A BROCKTON NUMBER IT MAY BE COSTING YOU BIG MONEY!!!!!! Hello All, Recently I put a new access line on my AOL. It says Brockton and it's really Holden, Ma. If you are accessing this line get rid of it NOW. I have incurred almost $100.00 in phone bills so far this month. I called AOL and they hung up on me, and when I tried to call back they have put a busy signal on my line. If this is the way AOL treats there customers who needs them, I have circle dialing and Brockton is one of my numbers, other wise I would have never put the number in there to call. PLEASE: send this post to all your friends, if they won't listen to you on the phone, or answer your e-mail complaints, what good are they? It's your choice, but I for one am finding a new ISP, one that doesn't hang up when you file a complaint!! I hope this helps someone I wish I had known, Would have saved a lot of money. DON'T FORGET TO CHECK , <[email protected]> for now that is

I am searching for an AMZI LARK BRYANT. Hemarried a CLARA NETTLEON. CLARA was born in Collinsville NY. They moved to INDIANA where they had 2 daughters IDA & MARGARET. They then moved to NEPA where they died and are buried in DUNMORE, PA. AMZI was born in 1836. I do not have where he was born or who his parents were. I'm hoping someone has this name in their list somewhere, as as far as I can tell AMZI LARK wasn't the most used name so if someone has one the odds of us searching the same are good. SHARON
Earlier today I posted the following note: If anyone is considering purchasing a product from Ancestry. com, if you'll email me privately I'll share my experiences with you before you spend the money. I received over 200 (and still climbing) responses. To re-hash briefly: my problem was not w/the database subscription service, but with a product (genealogy program) I had purchased and wanted to return. You need an authorization # to facilitate a return and you only have a set number of days to get credit on your mastercard. I had sent 11 emails (!) from Oct. 22 to Nov. 17 and not ONE was answered. Time was running out for a successful return/credit. I wanted to let you know the latest. This afternoon I was contacted by a rep from Ancestry.com. Interestingly, his call did not come from my emails or phone call, but from his being alerted through an internet sighting of my original posting. (Ahh, the power of the internet!) He was apologetic about (1) the fact I have sent 11 emails and received no response and (2) the fact that a phone call was also ignored. This employee stated he had been recently hired to improve customer relations and seems willing to give it a try. I give him an A+ for attitude and think he has the company's best interest at heart. We can give him a chance to turn it around. (The true test, in my case, will be when I see the credit show up on my mastercard. Then I'll be a believer.) Thank you all for sharing your experiences with me and I hope for those of you who have also had problems with the company, they will be resolved to your satisfaction as mine has been. Happy hunting, Glenna Kinard

Hi all, I'm looking for info on two Bryants who married Turner's... Jesse Bryant married to Rachel Turner, Rachel died in 1852 in Harrison Co Ky, Milly Bryant married to Daniel Turner, they married in 1815. Daniel and Rachel Turner's father was George Turner who died in Culpeper Co Va. in 1815. Daniel Turner and Jesse Bryant were both named as executors in George's Will, the Will was also probated in 1819 Harrison Co Ky after the death of George's wife Elizabeth. I'm assuming she was the mother of Daniel and Rachel. i don't know if there's a connection between Jesse and Milly Bryant, ie: siblings, cousins... Any info will be greatly appreciated!!! Teresa
Hi. New to list. Looking for a Robert Bryant who married Harriet McClelland in 1836 in Ross County, Ohio. I have a lot of information I would like to share with their descendents regarding Harriet and her family. If anyone has a Robert Bryant they can't place, please let me know. Robert would have been born in the early 1800s. I don't believe they stayed in Ohio after their marriage, as I have not found them in the census. Have no idea where they went. Rose [email protected]
The Bryant line I am looking for for me begins here in Northeast PA. The BRYANT I am searching is an AMZI LARK he was born in 1836, not sureo f what state of town. He died in 1913 and is buried at FOREST HILL CEMETARY, DUNMORE, PA. He married a CLARA NETTLETON. Clara was born in Collinsville, NY in 1838 she died in 1907 and she too is buried in DUNMORE. Not sure where they met or where married. AMZI & CLARA lived for a time in INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA. I know this because their daughters MARGARET born there in 1881 and IDA was born there in 1878. IDA died in 1899 and is buried in DUNMORE. MARGARET died in 1964 and is Buried in DUNMORE. She married a THOMAS TREVERTON. She is my gggreatgrandmother. CLARA's mother was NANCY ROSA, not sure of the first name of the NETTLETON she married or when or where. NANCY's mother is ELLEN ROSA, and according to family lure she is CHEROKEE INDIAN. Can anyone help me out here.
Wondering if someone could do a look-up or check their files for any information on William BRYANT said to have lived in Haverhill, Essex County, MA between 1760 and 1830. The name of his wife is unknown but he is said to have had two sons born in Haverhill: William H. BRYANT born 1809 and James Bryant born around 1816. I'm in South Carolina and can't get to Massachusetts for research. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I am working out the bugs in my files so, if you can help, I would sure appreciate it! As soon as I can, I will post the results. Please e-mail me if you can assist. I have crossed information on the following people that I have found so far. Keep me in mind if you have any info on this.
I deleted your message in error, so don't have your name, but I may have some information to help you. My Ancestor, John Bryant had a son by the name Sylvanius (there are all variations of spellings.) He may have also had a brother by that name. Since it is not a common name, I think you might want to look in Albemarle/Amherst/Nelson County VA. I don't have time to help with individual research, but you can find information on my Logan County WV Ancestors website. The main page is http://members.tripod.com/famsteel/index.html The page that mentions Sylvanius is: http://members.tripod.com/famsteel/corbryan.html Please let me know if we connect. Looking for information on SYLVANUS ALLEN and LYDIA BRYANT (descendants below). Does anyone know where Sylvanus Allen or Lydia Bryant were from or what other children they had besides William (my line)? Is there anyone else researching this family? I have some information that is leading me to Worcester County, MA. That information is below. AMOS ALLEN married a LYDIA BRYANT 1772. If anyone knows anything about these lines I could use all the help I can get! >From the Russia, Herkimer County web page: William ALLEN, the son of Sylvanus and Lydia (BRYANT) ALLEN, was born Jan. 3, 1777; married June, 1800, Aurel BROOKS, born Sept. 8, 1781, died May 1, 1874, the daughter of Lemuel and Keziah (HASKELL) BROOKS of Enfield, Conn. William ALLEN was an early settler in Remsen, Oneida County, NY, where he settled on a farm one-fourth of a mile north of Fairchild Corners. He was one of the first Baptist Society formed in 1799 in Russia. He was the last of these original members on the Russia Church roll and the last to pass away as far as known. He traveled eight miles every Sunday to the church of his choice. He served in the War of 1812. William Allen died May 11, 1858. The children of William and Aurel (Brooks) Allen were: 1850 lived in Oneida County: WILLIAM ALLEN b. approx. 1777 in Massachusetts or Vermont. Married to Ariel BROOKS b. approx. 1782 in Connecticut. Children: Rebecca m. David BURROWS and Levi COLWELL Sarah not Unknown JONES LUTHER H. married to Lydia A. Sarah Angeline ORCUTT (lived in Oneida & Madison County) Saphrona b. approx. 1834 Oscar L. b. approx. 1843 Lived in Oneida County, NY. A hint that they may have been in Worcestor County, MA: Amos ALLEN of Paxton, Worcester County, MA, who declared his intention to marry a Lydia BRYANT of Leicester, Worcester County, MA, on 9 Oct 1772. The record was in Leicester. * As shown above, William named a son AMOS. Could he have named him after his father? What is the mystery behind this AMOS ALLEN and LYDIA BRYANT/ SYLVANUS ALLEN and LYDIA BRYANT? Or did Sylvanus have a brother that was going to marry Lydia and then she married Sylvanus? And is this even the same family? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATFULLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!!! Jo Dee Frasco [email protected]
While cruising the web this morning I found this cemetery site that lists many Bryants. Location is Oglethorpe County Ga. <A HREF="ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/oglethorpe/cemeteries/bairdcem.tx t">ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/oglethorpe/cemeteries/bairdcem.txt</ A> ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/pub/usgenweb/ga/oglethorpe/cemeteries/bairdcem.txt Glenna ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Researching: Porter, McCants, Martin, Rawlinson, Gill, Higgins, Scott, Harrison, Fetner; and Bryant, McDade, Dillard, Tolleson, Wells, Baxter, Eaves; and Kinard, Wise, Thaxton, Vickers, Patton, Hubbard, Wilkins, Long/Lang, Latta (Branch 28), Mauldin, Dismukes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm new to the list........Seeking BRYANT information! I'm looking for any information on Jack Bryant that married my husbands grandmother Tennessee Frances Lee Bowers in probably 1890 or so in probably Obion Co. TN. All these years we thought her name was Frances Tenny LEE, but I happened to find her in 1920 census in Van Buren Co, AR and her name was listed Tennessee F. Bryant . She and James Calvin Bowers were married abt 1876/77. James died in Obion Co. Oct 1877 in a runaway team accident leaving "Fanny" 5 months pregnant. James Calvin (Jr.) was born Feb 1878 there in Obion Co. ... .........Don't really know when or where she married Jack Bryant but they had some children, Earl and Clyde I know for certain, and at least one girl maybe more. After these children were born they came to Van Buren Co., AR......at least Fanny and the children did.......Jack disappeared just after they "crossed the river" never to be seen or heard from again............Does any of this sound familiar? Ever heard of a Jack Bryant of that time ! frame? Thanks for your time, Sue Bowers
born 5/31/1922 in Union (Newton) Ms. to a William Brown (Railroad Worker), 28 years old, and Nita Bryant, 17.5 years of age - both gave their home as Sebastopol. I have reason to believe that William Brown was in reality my grandfather Verna Montgomery Brown - better known as "Bill" Brown - why he was called "Bill" I don't know. He had married my Grandmother Maud Lee Bryant 9/10/1921. Nita is generally a shortened form of Juanita - not Maud or Lee. Nita would have been born in 1904 or 1905, so will also show up in the 1910 Soundex. And yes, I think my grandmother might not have been my mother's mother! My grandfather had a lady friend named Juanita who he thought well enough of to name another daughter after her. Any information you can provide will be helpful. If you have access to the 1920 SOUNDEX for Mississippi, I'd appreciate it if you can do a search for a Juanita Bryant, approximately 15 years old. I have no idea what part of the state she was really from so send any you find. Thanks. PS: The brilliant people who run our library here in Orlando didn't get the SOUNDEX - they decided to get the census ONLY to save money! It's like a library without a card catalog.
