Hi Awiusdi and Everyone! I want to thank Awiusdi again for taking the list back. You all have been great and great to me and I've enjoyed this experience, but I know I wasn't doing the list or any of you real justice. With Awiusdi at the helm again, I can already feel the new energy flowing to the list. I know you all will have benefit from Awiusdi's leadership! Best of everything to each and every one of you! Kay
Hello Everyone. I want to reintroduce myself to the list. I am the original Rootsweb Bryant listowner and Kay had taken it for me for awhile, while I got my health back in order. Thanx to her for her help in maintaining the integrity of this list. So, Where does that leave us now? I had started the Bryant Newsletter,,,Are the volunteers still in place for that? Are you still interested? Also I am compiling the information for a NEW BRYANT LISTMEMBER REPORT. Send in your info with NEW BRYANT LISTMEMBER REPORT in the subject line. The info to include,,,, 1. your name and email address 2. your homepage 3. your earliest Bryant ancestor's name, location, dates 4. information paragraph: include spouses name, childrens names date etc. Try to keep your info as short as possible please. I have also made the BRYANT MASTER GEDCOM FILE that is still online, however it needs updated terrible. If you have a BRYANT gedcom and want to include it in my online Gedcom send it to me privately. There are many new people on the list that I dont know and I look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible. Awiusdi

I have very little information on my family but would love to search things out. Limited information is all I am getting. If anyone can help it will be appreciated. Here is my line of the Bryants. William James (Billy) Bryant married Annie Rebecca Jackson on April 30, 1885 in Grand Ridge Florida. Annie Rebecca Jackson's parents are from Holland/Netherlands and she is the one that my mother said was Black Dutch. ( Another rootsweb listing). Children of Billy Bryant and Annie Rebecca Jackson are: Newton (Newty), Willie Ann, Rhoda, Jeff, Angus (Gus). I will be adding information as I can gather it. Thanks to all and keep the interesting e-mails coming. Juanita I have
Hi Everyone! I am sending this to all of the lists I am listmom of. Rootsweb has posted a warning about the new virus that is out on their Help Desk at http://helpdesk.rootsweb.com/virus1.html ... I might add that this morning another listmom had the virus attachment come to her looking like it was a Christmas card from on of the on-line card companies. Please read the warning and be very skeptical of any e-mail attachments. Thanks! Wishing all of you a safe and happy holiday! Kay
Hi Cara! Nice site! The only thing about not posting family here is that it doesn't get to the Rootsweb archives, which can be an awfully nice thing if something happens to your web site or server. I've had several good contacts because someone saw my post in the archives and were never on that particular list. I am fascinated by your family... especially with that Anderson connection. Our Louisa Bryant married Anderson W. Billingsley on 24 Sept 1856 in Clark Co., AR. She was born in TN, but I don't have anything on her family. Anderson was the son of Almira Tennessee Whiteside (b.1816 Overton Co., TN), however, and she the daughter of Jonathan Whiteside and Thankful Anderson! Thankful was born on the Holston River in VA (7 Feb 1775), but she and Jonathan lived Wayne Co., KY, Overton Co., TN and Hamilton Co., TN.... the later right on the GA boarder. I realize that your family was much further south in GA, but I wonder if we won't have a connection someday. -----Original Message----- From: Vicki Walberg [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, December 05, 1999 1:43 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Bryant Hi, I am looking for help with my ggg grandmother, Elizabeth Bryan(t). She married a Williamson Marlow around 1832-1834. We do not know much about her. We know they had four children: A.L. b. 1836, James Robert b. 1838, Pleasant M. b. 1841 and Bithel Alexander Marlow (my gg grandfather) b. 1843. These dates have not been verified. Elizabeth died shortly after the birth of her last child, in her early to mid twenties. Elizabeth and Williamson are said to have been married in Davidson Co, Tennessee. Shortly after the birth of A.L. (we think this is a girl named Achasa Louisa) they moved to St. Claire Co, Missouri where the other three children were born. We have been unable to verify anything, it is as though she never exsisted. We do not know who her family is or where she was from. Our only hope is that someone has bible records that will help identify her and her family. My great grandfather knew very little about his father or grandmother as his father died young at 32 and he was but 2 years old. His mother remarried as did Williamson after Elizabeth's death. And with the remarriages all hope of finding any information. They were raised by the step-father and all information seems to be wiped away. My g grandfather was told that his g grandmother was a granddaughter of Daniel Boone. Who knows. I would be most greatful if you have any information that could help us. Other possible names include: Calhoun, Coon, Holland. We have been told that Elizabeth's mother may have been one of these names then married the Bryant family. In great appreciation, Vicki Walberg Vacaville, CA

Hi All, Everything that I've read todate, says that the ancestry of Stephen Bryant Sr. of Plymouth, MA is unknown. Have received some unsourced info (compiler unknown) that the parents were John and Grace Wayford of Bampton, England. Can anyone confirm this info? Thanks, Craig.

I just had to reply to this. I too had nothing but trouble with AOL. They cost me $ 200 in just 3 DAYS. I never want anything to do with that service. I am truly sorry if I upset anyone by my post about access from AOL, I just wanted everyone to have a chance to change their access number if they were using it. I know you probably are saying that this isn't the place to put it,but,if you're like me this is the only place I am all the time. It makes sense to alert anyone I can to this so you or anyone else won't have the same problem. To anyone I have annoyed I'm sorry, to anyone I've helped, that's good. Sincerely, <PamBangs>
