Dear List, My husband Bruce is descended from the BROWNBACKs and SHOWALTERs of SE Pennsylvania. Bruce's Mom recently sold her house. While going through the attic, clearing things out, Mom and Bruce's sister came across a box of 'stuff' that had been kept by Bruce's grandfather, Harry Baum SHOWALTER. One of the most exciting items in this box was an *original* handwritten invitation to the wedding of Bruce's great grandparents Martha BROWNBACK and Harry SHOWALTER on March 25, 1880.
