    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Brumbaugh, Brumbough, Broombough Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IRG.2ACIB/238 Message Board Post: I'm looking for information about the Bloomfield / Troub / Brumbaugh family. Phebe Bloomfield born in January 1807 in OH, who married Michael Troub (Trout/Traub) in Marion Co., OH on August 20, 1829, and died June 27, 1871 in Allen Township, Noble Co., IN. Michael was born approx. 1800 - 1800 in PA. She is buried at the Allen Chapel Cemetery in Noble Co. Her children and their birth dates are (born in Morrow Co., OH): Jacob (1829), Elizabeth (1831), Henry (1832), Julia Ann (June 7, 1837), Mary (1838), Sarah (1839), Ruthia (1841), Russia (1842), Peter H. (1845), Jeremiah "Jerry" J.(1847), Jeannette (May 28, 1844), Elizabeth (1855), and John (February 14, 1838). Her son Jacob Troub married Susan Brumbaugh (b: 1836 in Ohio, d: 1869 in Noble Co., Indiana). Jacob and Susan's children were: Josephine V. (1857), Emma, Esther "Ev" Evaline, Washington "Salle" Lasalle, Jacob F. (1858), Henry Franklin (December 20, 1863), and Kansas "Canny" E. (1864). Susan died after childbirth of twi! ns. Jacob moved to Kansas after fighting in the Civil War, married Alice Stonebraker and had his youngest, last child, Ellen. The children Jacob left in Noble Co. remained friends or relatives, possibly including the Brouse (sp?) family. Many of the children including at least Jeannette and Canny moved to the areas around Eaton Co. and Clinton Co., MI. Susan was related to Samuel Brumbaugh also of Noble Co., Indiana. Any information especially about Phebe, Michael, or Susan is much appreciated. I understand that a couple of the children married into the Whetzel family, including Josephine. There is evidence to suggest that Phebe's father was possibly Skinner Bloomfield and brother Cornelius Bloomfield (who also died in Noble Co., IN). Michael Troub owned land and lived with his wife Phebe very close to Skinner Bloomfield.
