Surnames: Brumbaugh Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/IRG.2ACIB/135.137.191 Message Board Post: Jack Brumbaugh posted back in 2000 stating that Anna Kemper was NOT wife of Johannes Henrich Brumbaugh. I was interested in finding out how she was ruled out. I am descended from Johannes Henrich, Jacob "Jokel", Conrad, Jacob Miller, Abraham and Minerva (E772). Is there any ancestry known for Johannes Henrich?
I am also descended from Jacob "Jockel" BRUMBAUGH, born in Germany on 27 Nov 1734, died 13 Aug 1816, Hopewell Twp, Huntington Cty, Pennsylvania. My line comes from Jockel's oldest son, William BRUMBAUGH, born abt 1762 in Bedford, PA, died 15 Dec 1827 Dayton, Montgomery Cty, Ohio (who had a brother named Jacob). He is followed by David J. BRUMBAUGH, whose daughter, Barbara "Barbary" BRUMBAUGH married my gg-grandfather, Victor E. GARY on 27 May 1855. This looks like the same line with which you started. What can you tell me about Johannes Henrich BRUMBAUGH? I am going to Germany this spring, and I would be very interested to know the regional origins of the BRUMBAUGHs. Thanks.
