Her parents may be Robert SCOTT and Elizabeth BURNS?? If these are the right parents - siblings were James b. 1820; Margaret b. 1822; Janet b. 1830. Janet married a George BALLANTYNE William married Helen SCOTT on 10 June 1845 in Melrose, Roxburgh. They had one daugher, Eliza, born in Scotland on 24 August 1848. They came to US in 1849/1850.
