I am looking for the parents of Florence BRUCE. I do not have definates for her, but found conflicting info on her birth so between 1873-1880ish is the two dates. She married George POTTS around 1895 in Hickman, TN. I found an obituary, for her that said her parents were John & Vicie (Nelson) BRUCE. I have not found any proof other than the obit to link these two together. I found a headstone in the same cematery of Florence for BRUCE John 1854-1921 / Lavicia 1856-1923. Again believing this is her parents. It is believe Florence had a sister Callie, she may have had a brother Ben & sister Ellen also. I can not find a John & Lavicia (Vicie) in the TN census. For the 1880 census (maybe she was not born yet & sibling are younger. But I can not find them in the 1900 census either, I know she was married young, and figure this is why I can not locate her. But if the sibling were younger I should be able to locate them. Needless to say of course I need the 1890 census. Does anyone know anything on this family? Like maybe where they came from and who is who. Maybe they used different names? Thank you for any & all replies. Just Diggin'
