    3. Couldn't find a few more James, Johns or Azeil's could we.!!!!!!! Ephriam BRUCE was the JP in Green CO GA as best I remember. I too will have to pull out old notes but looks like together we can solve some problems. Randol only had 2 ch. Thomas D & Mary A. (that i can prove) Don't know what happened to Mary. 1840 Mary MAPP was pd expenses of guardianship of Mary CHATMAN & Thomas & CHATMAN orphans of Randol CHATMAN. 08 Mar 1848 John BONNER guardian & James MOORE surety posted bond as guardian of person & property of Thomas D CHAPMAN minor & orphan of Randol. In May he married Elizabeth Catherine MENTON BRUCE, widow of Azeil with son Wm. she was 21, Thomas was 17. Would be very interested in knowing details of Azeil's (Sr) estate. Thomas & Catherine had 11 ch. My gt gr father Wm Robert Lee was # 8. Came to TX 1892 with wife Maria(also a CHAPMAN, maiden name) & died there in 1920 In Notes: 1832 GA Land Lottery 24th Dist 3rd Sec-Cherokee #86 Randol CHAPMAN m.s. 162nd Greene #87 James BRUCE m.s. 162 Greene 1820 census Randol was the only CHAPMAN next to James & Azeil BRUCE Randol m Elizabeth TALLEY in 1822. I have Thomas D b 1829--no date for Mary A Elizabeth must have died because 1833 he m again to Nancy PERKINS who had 5 ch. but he died in 1836. Randol left plantation to wife Nancy &, son Wm Marion(his or hers??) & other ch. Witnesses: James BRUCE, Joel BRUCE & Rubin P TURNER Recorded 24 Dec. 1836 In 1835 Randol was awarded custody of 5 PERKINS ch & in Jan 1837 guardianship of 5 minor PERKINS ch was given back to Nancy.
