I should have been more explicit, but partway down my query I cited a source which says: "Called SOME DESCENDANTS OF JAMES BRUCE OF ABERDEEN, it lists James Bruce b ca 1634, Longside, Aberdeen Parish, Scotland; his son Thomas Bruce, christened 6 Nov 1664, Portsoy, Fordyce Parish, Aberdeen, Scotland. . ." John Bruce is said to have also been born in Portsoy, and his chn, including Anne Bruce (above) were all christened in Leochel Cushnie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
