In my original post I mistakingly listed the wrong children for the John Bruce which I am researching. Listed below is the corrected version: Hi All, I am searching for the ancestors of George Bruce, born circa 1720 in Orange County, VA. He married Elizabeth Quinn about 1742. Elizabeth was the daughter of Darby Quinn. George and Elizbeth's known (to me) children were George,Jr., Elizabeth (Betty), and Martha. Mostly from information posted on various Internet mailing lists and/or Web Pages, I have come up with the following possible ancestorial line for George: George's Parents: John Bruce, born ca 1690, possibly in Scotland, lived for awhile in Charles County, MD., died about 1752 in Albemarle County, VA married (1) Unknown (possibly Sarah ?) children (if any by his first wife) are unknown and married (2) Margaret Frazier John Bruce's Parents: Henry Bruce, born about 1664, location unknown, lived in Richmond County, VA (at least for awhile), death date unknown married Mary Morton, date unknown children unknown, except possibly John Henry Bruce's Parents: William Bruce, born about 1630?, location unknown, died before Dec 1683 his wife's name is also unknown I am looking for help in determining if this is the correct linage for George Bruce and also in positively identifying spouses and children of John, Henry, and William Bruce.
