James BRUCE born about 1787 Nottoway Co. VA, son of Alexander BRUCE and Ann PENICK. Daniel VERSER was appointed guardian for James after the death of his father. Nothing is known about James, possible that he died young or he moved to another state. Much research needs to be done on this James BRUCE. Jane BRUCE was born about 1789, daughter of Alexander BRUCE and Ann PENNICK. Daniel VERSER was appointed her guardian after the death of her father, Alexander BRUCE. It still remains a mystery to researchers of what happened to James, his sister Jane, and their mother Ann PENICK BRUCE. I am hoping that by posting this skimpy data on the last two children of Alexander BRUCE, someone else has come up with evidence of what happened to them?
