He was a twin to James Bruce who resided in Corydon Indiana and married to Mary Runyan. George was md. to Mary Barnett and maybe to a widow Biggs (Briggs). I am descended from Margaret Bruce m. David Cox, Margaret being the sister of your George Bruce. Let me know if you are interested in the information I have. I received it from another BRUCE researcher. There is also a book called John Bruce of the Shenandoah written by Violet Laverne Bruce which I found in a library in Winchester, VA. I made copies of some pages relevant to me. You might try and find a copy of this book. The John Bruce in the title is the father of James Bruce who married Margaret McMahon, George's parents. Ms. Violet Bruce shows George married to Mary Barnett and a Briggs. She does not have information beyond his marriages. The book would be helpful for family history and information on George's siblings and ancestors.
