These Bruces (see below) are a confusing lot. This John Bruce, born 1744 may be the son of Daniel Bruce and Bathsheba Bowker of Marlborough (Roger, Thomas1), who was born there 29 May, 1744. (NEHG Register, V136:304, "Thomas Bruce of Sudbury and Marlborough," Fahey et' all. Isaac Moore (Jonathan3,John2,John1) who married Mary ______ had, among other children, Isaac, b. Sept 8, 1748, in Bolton; m. June 24, 1768, Mary Bigelow of Shrewsbury and had issue; d. Jan 5, 1825 in Berlin. NEHG Register 57:362, "Descendants of John Moore."
