Bruce, one of the leading citizens of Ashley Twnp, and prominently identified with business interests of this part of the State, was born Nov. 13, 1865, son of Joshua H. Bruce. He had taken an active interest in public affairs, and has served his twnp. in various capacities on the town and school boards. He is president of the Co-Operative Creamery Co. of Westport, MN., treasurer of the Farmers' Mutual Insurance Society of North Fork of this county and a director in the Merchants National Bank of Sauk Center.
