I descend from Philadelphia Bruce who was born about 1749 in Amelia County, Virginia. She is said to be the daughter of Alexander Bruce and Dorothy May. Philadelphia Bruce was married on 1 March 1764 in Prince Edward's Parish, Virginia to James Jennings. I have 2 other children listed for Alexander Bruce and Dorothy May. They were: Elizabeth M.
