I agree with an earlier posting regarding this: I believe that Robert the Bruce had one surviving daughter--Marjorie, who married Walter, the high steward. Marjorie and Walter's son--Robert the Bruce's grandson--became Robert II, the first king from the house of Stewart (from high Steward). Therefore, I believe all of Robert the Bruce's direct line of descendants comes from Stewart line because of his daughter's marriage. On the other hand, is it possible that Robert I's line be traced through the Carrick line too? I'm not an expert, so someone please jump in and correct me if you have other information. Linda
