In reply to Robert the Bruce not having any children, Caroline Bingham wrote in her "Robert The Bruce" (London: 1998) p.161: "That some of his [Robert's] love affairs were more serious is implied by the record of six illegitimate children whom he acknowledged and provided for, though the names of their mothers are not known (but the territorial designation 'of Carrick' suggests that Christian of Carrick was the mother of two of them).
So, does anyone know if there are any recognized descendents of Robert the Bruce today, with either the Stewart or Bruce surname? Linda
