Hello Julia, What you say is true, except that if you go back to the 13th Cent you will find that the Scottish Bruce's descended from the Bruce family in Yorkshire, and many Bruce's lived there and many still do. The Yorkshire Bruce's in turn were established there in the 11 Cent. being of Norman-French extraction. They in their turn ORIGINATED in Scandinavia. The Bruce's is a large group with origins being Scots. When did they come to California? Have you been through their birth certificates or death certificates to find out their origins? Also, have you talked to any of the elderly relatives over 60 and up to gather information? > Thanks > Julia > > > > ==== BRUCE Mailing List ==== > Need help?
