FYI, NARA has produced a new (well, new since mid-1998) microfilm set that contains photographs of the card records of grave headstones provided by the Secretary of War for Civil War veterans (Union only) who died between 1879 and 1903. The 22-roll set is numbered M1845 and is available for viewing at the National Archives and at most of their regional facilities. While I haven't searched the records myself, the cards are arranged alphabetically by surname. I have discovered that the records for BRUCE are all contained in roll #3, which may be purchased from NARA. -= Bruce Gustin =-
