JUST PASSING THIS ON A William BRUCE petitioned the South Carolina Council for land. The petition was read at the Council meeting 15 December 1736. He petitioned for a warrant of 1650 acres on the basis of himself, wife, three children and 27 slaves. The coucil order a warrant be issued for 800 acres in Kingston and Queenborough Townships and a common warrant for 850 acres of vacant land.
