Hi all, I'm fairly new to genealogy and have just subscribed to this list, so I was wondering if anyone here could help shed some light on my particular genealogical brick wall? (Also please excuse me if this goes against the list's charter - I couldn't find a FAQ). I'm trying to find details on Walter BRUCE and "Kitty" KENNERLEY, both of London, England. Walter was born circa 1900 and Kitty was born circa 1903. They married circa 1920 and had one child, Robert Kennerley BRUCE (my grandfather) in 1926. Walter's wife was known as Kitty, but noone is sure of her real name - it's assumed to be Kate, Catherine, or similar. Kitty worked as a Red Cross Nurse during WW2, and Walter was a Fitter with Vokes (Filtration Engineers) in Surrey, England. Robert emigrated to Australia in October 1965 with his wife and children via ship. I have his birth and death certificates, but they only tell me what I already know. I have some more partial information, including photographs of Walter, Kitty and Robert, but I'll wait to see if I get a response. Does anyone on the list think they are able to assist me in finding more details of Walter and Kitty and, especially, Walter's parents, etc? I'm tracing the BRUCE line in particular. Now I'll go back to banging my head against my monitor. :) Many thanks, -- Matt Bruce - mutt@techie.com http://www.linuxfreak.com/~mutt 37°46'S 144°58'E Thesaurus: n. ancient reptile with large vocabulary.
