Not that I claim my searches to be that all-encompassing, but I have found only a couple other George W. Bruces and their dates were not close enough for serious consideration. I would like to pursue this probability somewhat further. Do you have anything else at all on George, Sarah, Mary Ann or any other children they might have had? Let's see what we can come up with. Thanks very much for the prompt response & let's keep in touch. Kendon

I wish I had more information than I do, but I'm just getting started on this line. I have a birthdate of 30 Oct 1838 for my George W. Bruce, his marriage to Sarah McLane, and birth of their daughter Mary Ann in Baxter County, Ark., in 17 June 1870. Baxter is north central arkansas on the Missouri border. The name and the birth date match. What is also interesting is that Mary Ann's has a granddaughter named Belle. I still have a lot of homework myself to do on this line but hope that we do have a link on this line! Linda

You are the first I have found who has even heard of Vincent Carpas Bruce! Found one other connected to Quincy Rogers & one to Daniel Clark, but this Bruce clan has been a tough row to hoe for me! My project is tracking all the descending lines from Carpas Clark, who was Carpas & Quincy's maternal grandpa. I have been stumped on the Bruces for years. Would love to see the pictures of Carpus & Quincy, if convenient. Do you have anything on any of their descending lines, or on those of any of their siblings? I don't even know who most of them married (with the exceptions of Daniel & Quincy) or where they went. I can see you are not in the Clark descendancy, but if you ever need to see that, can fill you in back to England in 1609. Please, let me hear from you again & let me know of anything I might be able to offer in return. Okay? Kendon

I also have poor quaility picts. of Nelson David, Jeremiah, William Lloyd and Amaziah Crieghton,Jr. Bruce. I hope to gather More pictures of the clan and also the Lunsfords, who I am also descended From. Missouri married Percival Lunsford from Ironton. She came up to visit her daughter in South Solon Ohio, died while visiting and is buried in South Solon Cem. To answer your question though, Vincent would be, I guess, Missouri's uncle. Hope to hear from you soon Randy

They both had strong ties to Lawrence Co., Ohio. Since Missouri's surname was Bruce, I will here list the sons of Vincent & Corinthia: William W., Daniel Clark, George Washington, Vincent Carpus, Oliver T., Elisha B. & Quincy Roger. Any of these names familiar? Some went to Missouri, others I don't know about. Probably some returned to Lawrence Co., Ohio. Kendon
