I have done extensive research on the descendants of William Bruce from Culpeper Co., VA, by way of Wilkes Co., NC but don't recognize this Frances. There were two distinct Bruce family groups in Sumner Co., TN during the early years. Can you tell me to which family Frances belonged?

Surnames: Bruce, Daughenbaugh Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XOG.2ACIB/1275 Message Board Post: I have hit a major roadblock in my research. I have Robert G. Bruce in the 1850 Illinois census, and cemetary records in Iowa. I have a list of children. I can't seem to find out where he is from exactly. Most of my research from famuly has him coming from Scotland, but the boat I think he came over on is the Hope in 1816. Landing in Philadelphia, he married a gal by the name of Mary M. DAUGHENBAUGH. Daughenbaugh who was from PA, the next time an Illinois census of 1850, which lists his wife and children, and finally his cemetary record in La Porte City, Iowa 1878.
