This is a really interesting string of dates, as another group I belong to, [email protected] has had a bit of a discussion going recently on long gaps between generations. The "rule of thumb" seems to be 25 years a generation. If that were to hold true for you, f/Gfather/gGfather/ggGfather would equal 100 years, and even if your present age were 100, that would only stretch back to 1802. Can you give the dates for your generations, as a matter of general interest? In my case, my ggGfather was born 1781 and did not marry until 1830, and Thomas Bruce was born 1834. I am in another family message board that has gone through extensive testing on males because many people were against a brick wall with this family genealogy. The testing was done in a lab in CA for $99 each. Those who could not be tested like I contributed funds to help those who could not afford the charge for the test.If you would like further information, please advise.
