I am looking for a Benjamin B. Bruce Sr b abt 1760/1770 place unknown. It appears that he arrived in Catahoula Parish, LA about 1800 from where, I have no idea. It is my belief that he came down the MS river, maybe from or through KY. Can you shed any light on my Benjamin B. Bruce. Bob Moore e-mail bmoore@kopower.com.
Attention all Coleman Bruce descendents; Lupus Garrett, a direct descendent of Coleman Bruce has purchased the original homestead and grounds where Coleman and family lived in Moniteau County, Missouri. Coleman came to Mo in 1832 and the log cabin he built still stands, even though it has been added onto throughout the years. Mr. Garrett is lovingly restoring the old farm and sometime in the future hopes to have a Bruce family reunion for those who would like to camp on the grounds and tour the home and reminisce about their ancestors. For more info you may contact: Susan Martin, Preserve the Past LLC, 33673 Hwy 87, California, MO 65018-3915, Susan1@socket.net Thank you

I am looking for my grandfathers relatives. I don't really have much to go on. I am doing this for my mother's benefit. She never got to meet him due to World War 2. Here is the info I have and hope someone will recognize the names and get in touch with me. My grandfathers name was Sidney A. Bruce. Born in Atlanta, Georgia on April 20, 1920. He was in the U.S. Army and served in WW2 in France. I know he has a brother by the name of J.D. Bruce that was married to a woman with the name of "Beattie" (only name we knew her of) J.D. worked in or around Atlanta at an Arrow Shirt Company. Not sure of the years. They did have a son name is unknown. He married my grandmother Ina Inez Hampton on March 2, 1942 had a set of twins, boy and a girl. He never got to see his children. He was killed on his way home from the war on August 7, 1945. He was also stationed at Camp Blanding in Starke, Florida for a short time. If anyone out there knows of this name and feel they have information for me please feel free to email me at gkuhnle1@tampabay.rr.com. All emails will be answered. Have photos of grandfather and some of his army buddies.
