He was admitted freeman 1690, died Aug 13, 1692. References: Meade's Hist. of Greenwich, Conn., 315; Sewall's Hist. of Woburn, Mass, 595; Smith's Hist. of Dutchess County, N.Y., 125; Phenix's Whitney Family, Conn, vol I, 274; Savage's Gen Dict. vol. I, 281. I have found that names are sometimes misread because of the handwriting in the original documents. Do you think Brush could be Bruce? His wife's name is the same. Good luck.

She married James S. Daugherty (Daughety) on 7/18/1897 in Pope Co., AR. They had a son, Percy E born in AR 8/1899. They are listed in the 1900 census in Mena, Polk Co., AR (last name spelled Daughety) and James lists his occupation as a mechanical engineer. Can't locate any info on them after 1900.

How much work have you done on the New England Bruces? I have been looking for an "Isobel Bruce" b. 1810-1813, I think somewhere in New England. She marries Joseph Wickens--unknown location and date as well. I did manage to find Joseph Wickens in England with his family, so that fact is known. But Joseph and Isobel had 6 children and my direct ancestor, Charlotte Bruce Wickens, was their first child born in Barrington, Nova Scotia area where they are buried. She had 4 older siblings-- birth locations are unknown as well. I don't believe she is part of George's line but possibly through John/Thomas Bruce's line. At this point in time I have not "followed most of my lines to Scotland/British Isle" yet, as I have enough to work on here stateside. George Bruce's line ends up married to my Richardson line (out of Woburn, MA) as well. Both these early Bruce lines do end up linked by marriage. This was the one about whom I replied to " Reneenyn" I've also come across that ALLEN BRUCE in KY before & have been told by one who was from Hopkins Co, KY that there was a Librarian who descended from that line.....As to KY Allen Bruce, I've never seen anything on his parentage but will see if I can get the name of that Li- brarian who descends from that line.
