    3. Hello G.T. and Martha Ann, Glad to hear from you! However, I cannot find either of you in my Fergus database. Can you please post your lineage to me - begin with at least 3 generations back. I will need to have full names, date of birth, place of birth, date of death (where applicable), place of death, place of burial, marriage date/place, spouse d.o.b./place, children with same info please. Also, I would very much like to have any e-mail addresses you might provide of your same ancestry so that I can get those updates. There is a HUGE whole in the BROYLES/WILLIAMSON lineage, and we have nearly 5,000! Not sure where you live, but here in northern lower MIchigan we are having a major storm having received at least 10" since yesterday. It is wild outside, so a good time to work on genealogy (of course, I do that in any weather!) My best, Cynthia N. 3. Hi fellow BROYLES researchers. Just a reminder that when you reply to a query, you should always reply BACK to the List, and, if you want to, send a CC: to the original poster. When questions such as Guinn's are asked, and when someone replies privately, no one else on the List gains anything from the exchange. The reason for these Lists is that with the passing of data and information directly to the Lists, we may ALL gain from it. You never know when something you might post publicly to a List will benefit some other researcher, or whether some other researcher just might have more information for you on the same line. I hope that both Guinn and Cynthia continue their correspondence here on the List, since this is this is a line/branch that many of us do not have in our databases. For those of us who want to know about EVERY BROYLES or BRILES cousin in the country, information from these Lists is invaluable. (BTW, Cynthia, I have several BROYLES and BRILES databases, one approaching 8,000 names, one with almost 5,000 names, and several smaller ones that I just have not had time to merge with my main database. I also have a large WILHITE/WILHOIT database with almost 14,000 names. Keep in mind, that I, and most other serious genealogists, don't collect these databases for publishing to the Net/Web, or for writing books or genealogy sheets. We do our collecting to add to our "family" and to be able to help other researchers who join our Lists. I can assure that my "unofficial" databases will never show up on the Net/Web. Heck, most of the data I add to them isn't even supported by source documents! It's just data that I use to help others connect up to the "main tree". AND, I would LOVE to have your BROYLES/WILLIAMSON database! [GRIN]) Keep up the posting, Yer Cuz, SgtGeorge George W. Durman (Listowner) Knoxville, TN At 07:12 PM 11/20/2000, Cynthia N. 3. Sgt. George and list, Yesterday I hit my reply to button to respond to a BROYLES post. I had not realized that I replied to the list until I received my post back. I was embarassed that I had not paid attention to reply to just the sender - and now I know that it was NOT a mistake! Thank you George for posting this reminder of the importance of posting to the list to share our information with others, especially those who may be unknown to us. Yes, I'll keep posting to the list! Cynthia N. Russell in SNOWY northern Michigan, lower peninsula > Hi fellow BROYLES researchers. 3. Hi Cousin Cynthia. Glad to be of service. I KNOW that we users of these Lists DO miss valuable information from time, just because some users are under the impression that their replies should go personally to the original sender, and not back to the Lists. I have gained more info and data than anyone can imagine from posts to these Lists. And, sometimes I am able to help out when questions arise. Don't forget that our foremost BROYLES/BRILES/WILHITE/WILHOIT/etc. genealogist is Ken Broyles, and he is a subscriber to all these Germanna related Lists. His information is invaluable to many, many researchers. But, he can't help if replies are not made back here to the Lists. If you continue to post and reply publicly, you will be surprised at the cousins you will discover. SgtGeorge George W. Durman Knoxville, TN At 08:05 AM 11/21/2000, Cynthia N.
