    1. [BROYLES] New Feature on the GERMANNA COLONIES Family History Web Site
    2. GERMANNA COLONIES Website Manager
    3. Hello all Germanna researchers. I have added a new feature to the GERMANNA COLONIES Family History Web Site and would like for some of you to try it out. http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~george/index.html It is called "HumanClick". Yeah, I know, it's a rather generic name for a feature for a web site, but that's what the publishers of the program call it. What it is, is a clickable place near the top of the page for users of the web site to contact me or to leave messages. Here's how it works: If I'm at my computer, a user of the web site will see a graphic indicating he/she may chat with me "live". If I'm away from the computer, the user will see a graphic indicating he/she may leave a message, since I'm not "online". Since I am now using a cable modem and am always "online", I have set up the utility to always be active, unless I manually go "offline", or if the screen saver kicks in, in which case the utility will automatically go "offline". It's just something I thought might be of use to users, especially new ones, and give them the opportunity to contact me immediately if they have questions, problems, etc., rather than their having to send an email. Just log on to the web site and you'll see the either a "Click to Chat With Me" or a "Leave Me a Message". If some of you want to try it out, please do so. If I'm available, I'll hear a "doorbell" sound and we will be able to chat "real time". I'm also sending this same notice to a couple of non-Germanna Mailing Lists I manage to let the folks there know about this very nice service. The "basic" program is somewhat limited, but I think it's all most of us would ever need on our web pages. The "Pro" and "Plus" versions are quite costly. Look at it and let me know what you think.
