I think my question has been misinterpreted. I understand that the name has been spelled in a number of ways and that all of them are acceptable. The only question I had was one concerning the statement that: "Yes, all BROYLES in America are descendants of John BROYLES" I realize that the line has been thoroughly researched and that the ones on this list can trace their lineage back to John Broyles, and other spellings of the name. The line has not been so thoroughly researched that all possible questions have been resolved; reference the not infrequent remarks about "brick walls", etc. Therefore, I believe it is misleading to make an assumption that everyone who spells his name BROYLES is automatically and inerrently descended from our John BROYLES. I have been told my doubt about ALL named BROYLES being necessarily descended from one man flies in the face of reality. It does not do that at all. It simply implies that none of us know everything.
