I'm sure everyone is aware by now of the new viruses/worms making the rounds. I'm sending this because a subscriber to one of these Germanna-related Lists has become infected. Whoever it is, he/she has our List address in his/her Address Book, or has emails in his/her email program from the List. In addition, he/she has one or more of the following addresses in the Address Book, or has email from them in the email program: engel@informatik.uni-siegen.de engel@aretha.informatik.uni-siegen.de mail@JLinkenheil.de Thomas.Porombka@web.de juergen.dost@t-online.de That's as close as I can figure it out. As List Manager, I'm getting back bounces of emails purportedly from GERMANNA_COLONIES@rootsweb.com (the From: address is, of course, forged by the virus/worm), which were sent to someone in Germany, probably around the Siegen area. If you have one of the above addresses in your Address Book, or have email in your email program from, or to, one of those addresses, you may be infected. Everyone should have a good Anti-Virus (AV) program installed. These days it's not a luxury, it's an absolute NECESSITY!!!!! And, if you DO have an AV program installed, it won't do a bit of good if you don't download the latest virus definition files for the program. Most of the major AV programs (McAfee, Norton, AVG, Panda, etc.) released new DAT files within hours of the discovery of these latest abominations. INSTALL AN ANTI-VIRUS PROGRAM !!!!!
