Enclosed obituary: Funeral services set for long-time resident Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Kaster, Maxon and Futrell Downtown Chapel for Paul V. Broyles, 76,--- who died yesterday. An El Paso resident 73 years, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fraternity Lodge 1111 AF & AM, Scottish Rite Bodies of El Paso, and El Maida Shrine Temple. He attended El Paso Military Institute and El Paso High School where he was a member of a state championship football team. He was an FHA and VA approved appraiser and in 1967 was appointed to the advisory board of First Savings and Loan Assn. He is survived by his widow. Burial will be at Restlawn Cemetery. Also, Paul V. Broyles of El Paso, is listed with Cora and Simmie Lee as sending condolences to Mrs. Della Schmidt (mother of L. B. Schmidt), Portland, OR at the death of James Ira Broyles, Della's brother. He died 30 Nov 1926 in Portland, OR and is buried at Rose City Park Cemetery. Could Paul be the son of John G. Broyles, b. 30 Aug 1874 in Cole, County, MO? Was Cora John's wife? James Ira, Lethe M., Mary Jane, Luveria Ellen "Della", and John G. were the children of Newton Matthias and Sara Elizabeth (Faubion) Broyles. I have the N. M.
