Forrest **********END OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT*********** Hello Forrest, Thank you for the suggestion. I'm answering you here and also forwarding to the pertinent "Germanna" Lists I manage. You have a great idea. Several other people have already made offers to help, and, believe me, I need it right now. I have a back-log of close to 50 new additions. Plus, I'm trying to reformat all the pages so they are standardized, have the descendants list in a columnar style, AND trying to fill in the blanks for those who just sent their names and/or email addresses and website addresses and something similar to "John BROYLES", or "Hans FLEISCHMANN", etc., and nothing else. It's taking a lot of time to search the web/internet and try to figure out those users' lines of descent. First, let me explain about making the pages. I have to convert all the data that is sent me to HTML. So, anyone who wishes to help would have to be well versed on writing HTML, plus know a little about JAVA and Java Script. The most help I could receive right now would be for "volunteers" to pick out a surname page, scroll through it, and when there are entries such as just "John BROYLES", without ANY line/branch of descent, to try to make one using the web/internet. And/or where there is a line of descent, but spouses are not given, to search and fill in those blanks. It CAN be done! I've spent 12+ hours already today filling in some of those blanks, and, although tedious and time consuming, once you get the hang of how to search Ancestry.Com, it gets easier and quicker. So, if anyone is really interested, what would help the most would be for the volunteers to look at the surname pages and try to discover some of the missing data. The way to start is to go to the main "Address" page at <http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~george/address.html>, pick out a surname, and click on it. Then, look at all the missing info and see if you can find it on the web/internet. If you find data, it would help if you sent it in this format: John Q. PUBLIC & Mary Jane DOE Fred E. PUBLIC & Whosit SMITH Ima L. PUBLIC & Somebody ELSE No One ELSE & Whoever ITWAS (GRIN) I can take that format and very quickly plug it into the HTML in my preformatted templates. Anyway, thanks to all who have offered to help and will certainly appreciate any data you can provide. Gotta sign off now. It's after 1:00 AM here and I still have to enter a few more entries.
