No Lewis didn't have any family named Peter. That's kind why we've always wondered where the name came from. Yes it is highly speculative, but as we all know, families did travel together in those days and USUALLY lived around family. Lewis was born 1741 so it does make Mary a very good candidate age wise for Lewis' wife. Sure wish I could find just a smidgen someplace, but probably never will be able to prove it.
