Received all four. As always, I am grateful to you, George. Hate to see you go but understand. You have been a great host for all of us. God bless you and yours always! Know you have been appreciated. By the way, I feel something has happened to Thelma Waddell Wisecarver. I was distantly related by the WADDELL line as well as the WILHITE line, and we corresponded from the time I joined. She was to have some type of surgery; sent a message that she had sailed through it and was doing fine, and the next time I sent a message, it said that email no longer existed. It made me feel quite uneasy. I don't even know if she still belonged to the Germanna list. One time when she raised sand about Ancestry.com on the web, she said she was kicked off a list and I presumed it was ours (Germanna). Nancy Hatcher and I have both been concerned. I found one Wisecarver in Salisbury, NC, but I keep getting a recording and he sounds like a very young man. I just keep leaving messages, but you know young people. I'm sure he won't (or cannot afford) to get back to me so have not made that request. If you have any ideas, I would appreciate hearing. Thanks. Here's my heart...
Hi Shirley, I think you misunderstood. (GRIN) I'm not going anywhere! I have had problems lately receiving email posts from some of the Lists I manage. I was just sending those short "test" posts to see if they would be posted, and if I would receive them back. Things seem to be OK here on BROYLES-L. I was receiving private emails from Thelma quite often, but, like you, haven't heard from her lately. Does anyone know anything about her state of health? As to being kicked off a List, I've been managing the GERMANNA_ COLONIES Mailing List for a number and can attest that she's never been kicked off it! I'm trying to contact her now. Will let you know. George At 03/10/2003 07:23 PM Monday, Shirley G. wrote: *********START OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT********* >Received all four. As always, I am grateful to you, George. I tried to send Thelma an email the same day I received the above and it was bounced back to me with "User Unknown" !!!!! Since I can't contact her via email, I don't know how to check and find out her status. No, she was never kicked off any of the Lists I manage at Rootsweb. As to the first couple of sentences in your post, I'm not going anywhere! I was just having problems with Rootsweb with some of the Lists. I'm still here and hope to be for many decades yet. Yer Cuz, George
