There is a possibility that J.J. Broyles was Julius John Broyles, son of John Taylor Broyles & wife Clarinda Charlotte Hammond. He may have been a cousin to the other two Broyles brothers who were sons of Cain Broyles. There is no documented evidence of this at the present time but the movement of J.J.'s family from Anderson District SC to Dalton, GA, to Marshallville, GA to Chickamauga, GA in 1866 puts him in the right vicinity to be the same person. Am in the process of checking Confederate Medical Service Records due to the fact that Julius John Broyles was a physician by occupation to see if there is a match. Would greatly like to know if a photo of this family line still exists today of perhaps one of the cousins together, or separate, since all three were in the same regimental unit together. Would like to contact descendants of Julius John Broyles' family for fur! ther confirmation. Contact Kurt Graham galegion@bellsouth.net
