The Broyles family descends from Johannes Broyles and his wife Ursula who emigrated with their children from Germany to Germana, Spotsylvania County, Virginia in 1717. The related families include the Spillers who traveled to Williamson County, Illinois with the Duncan wagon train in 1816, and the descendents of Plesant Sidney 'P.S.'
