There is no evidence for Jewish ancestry for the Breyel/ Broil/Bruhl/Broyles line. Church records are a major source of our information regarding the line. What someone seems to have extrapolated from is the extensive use of Biblical names in the family, which was characteristic of the times and the area where the families lived. And, in some of the German principalities, Jews were not permitted to have surnames until long after we have identified our earliest members of the line. Gene
