Again, to have even a remote possibility, one would have to check the laws of the principality (I seem to recall that Fleischmann came from Wurttemburg) to see if Jews were permitted surnames at the time that Fleischmann first shows up. Fleischmann seems to be a vocational related surname for someone involved in the meat or butchering trades. Gene
