I've had a scanner for a long time, and just recently retired it for one that will do slides and negatives, in addition to the normal pictures and documents. I'm learning a lot about scanning old slides that date back to the early 1960's. Don't ever wait 40 years to do something about your slides! They keep better than photos, but do deteriorate over the years. I have several thousand slides and don't have even 100 done yet! Lots of correction is needed for the old ones. I use Paint Shop Pro (PSP), and, fortunately, it makes the job of fixing the slides much easier. The colors of them tend to shift to the yellow spectrum after that many years. Let me know what you would like discussed and we can go from there. Yer Cuz, George -- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus (http://www.grisoft.com).
