    2. Suzanne, I'm sure someone will offer you an answer, but I'd like to point out that the two stories should refer to sources and that those sources can be understood and verified by you. This will tell you how to interpret what you've found. A name and a date without a source is pretty uninteresting. And even the raw facts (e.g. marriage records) must be analyzed by someone to show why the record refers to the people in question. You're looking at the *conclusion* of someone's thinking and it's easy to assume they got it right, but it pays to be skeptical. Ask why they think it is true. In fact, if someone does have the answer to Suzanne's question, it would be great if they could provide the basis for the answer.
